I would say I’m a realistic painter, who finds herself dabbling in the impressionistic and abstract. I paint mainly in the light, with flowers and plants as my inspiration. My watercolor and sketch work reflects my love for floral and foliage, depicting, symbolically, how God clothes the flowers of the field, and how much more He will clothe and take care of us. Very seldom do I paint at night, unless I feel the quiet urge to just paint until my fingers can’t anymore.
I started painting back in college in 2010, where I minored in Fine Art, taking three painting classes that opened my eyes to a whole new world of painting.
I paint because I desire to express the God I love in color, depicting His gentle nature, strength, grace, and creation, all things I could not live without. It brings me the greatest peace to stroke on my canvas, even when my fingers and arms are stained. Thank you for taking the time to glimpse a little of my artwork.
